Welcome
My name is Victoria Pita and I have owned and operated Playful Learning Preschool/Daycare for 17 years. My husband and I have been living in San Mateo for 11 years and have three children of our own (19, 12 &7).
Children have always been my passion. I started teaching at a local swimming pool when I was 13 and instantly knew that I wanted to continue working with children in some capacity. I worked in both a preschool center as another private childcare before opening my own program.

Our mission is to provide families with quality and affordable childcare.
We believe that children learn best through their natural play. Our program observes children's interests and build our activities around them.
We believe that children thrive in an environment which values their own uniqueness, while providing support and opportunities to grow emotionally, socially and creatively.

Our low 1/5 ratio allows us to identify the needs of each child individually and make sure they receive both academic and emotional support.
